Accreditation and Awards

Accreditation - Nursery Industry Best Practice
The Australian nursery industry has implemented a nursery accreditation scheme as a means of identifying those nurseries which use Nursery Industry Best Practices in their production systems, and which produce consistent quality products.
Best Practice is defined as:
- good hygiene to minimise pests and diseases;
- good plant management to produce vigorous plants;
- professional operations and management to provide quality products.
The Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme of Australia (NIASA) is managed by the Nursery Industry Association of Australia, working with a group of industry and technical specialists.
Accredited businesses are audited at least once a year by independent Technical Officers in accordance with “NIASA Best Practice Guidelines”.

Of approximately 10,000 nurseries throughout Australia, Yuruga Nursery (and it’s subsidiary Clonal Solutions Australia) is one of only about 200 to be accredited to Industry Best Practice standards.
